Carrakid in the News: Eboni Wallace Lewis, daughter of Carousels Incorporated member Ruby Wallace, has been selected for recognition in the Corporate Brass section of the 10th Edition of Who’s Who in Black Charlotte, honoring Black excellence and leadership in the Charlotte community.
Eboni will be recognized at a special event on Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Westin Charlotte. Carousels Incorporated congratulates her on this well-deserved honor and celebrates her continued impact and leadership.
The Atlanta Carrousels proudly announce that Carrousel Nzinga Shaw has been unanimously appointed to the Board of Trustees of Morris Brown College—the only HBCU in the Atlanta University Center founded by African Americans. She will serve as Vice Chair of the Facilities Committee.
This appointment carries deep personal significance. As a student at Spelman College, Carrousel Nzinga studied within the Atlanta University Center during Morris Brown’s most vibrant years. Decades later, she returned as Commencement Speaker for the restored Class of 2023, where she received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
Now, she is honored to help shape Morris Brown’s future—advancing access, excellence, and student success for generations to come.
The Houston Carrousel Chapter proudly recognizes the recent selection of Carrousel Erika Gentry, to the Inaugural cohort of the Howard University (HU) Board of Trustees Alumni Leadership Academy. The 20-person pilot cohort was selected from a robust and diverse applicant pool that showcased the excellence exemplified by Howard University alumni.
Carrousel Erika is a HU class of 1992 graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology. She is a board certified Family Medicine physician with a MBA in Healthcare Management.She married her college sweetheart of 29 years and they are the proud parents of two HU alumnae.

Los Angeles Carrousel Veronica Glaze was a featured speaker in September at the Ms. JD Leadership Academy Intensive held at Pepperdine University where she spoke to inspire women pursuing careers in the legal profession and equipped them to lead.
